Heavy Duty Fruit & Cage netting is a very cost-effective way to protect fruit, newly planted vegetables or plants from predators such as birds, pigeons, mice, rabbits and squirrels. Use over frames, bamboo canes or tubular enclosures. This heavy duty netting is still lightweight at 40gsm so will not damage plants.
Netting protection is particularly important when growing fresh fruit trees and plants such as strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, black currents, blackberries etc. It can also be used for stoned fruit trees: plums, greengages and damson.
Our Fruit & Cage netting is UV stabilised so can be used year after year. Its is from a range of BOP PP meshes which have all been manufactured in a special way. After extrusion, the mesh is stretched in both directions to give an extremely high tensile strength to weight ratio.
